La Grande Vue residence in Cape Town

La Grande Vue house is located in Cape Town, South Africa. The house was designed by SAOTA (Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects) and OKHA Interiors .

The owners needed a larger place for their growing family and they wanted their new home to loom modern and to also benefit from the beautiful views in the area. This meant that they first had to demolish their bachelor pad with all the memories inside and make room for the new house. The resulting structure included a dual-level penthouse on the first level, a studio, a bedroom and a garage on the lower level and an apartment underneath. This should be enough space for the family. The penthouse includes two en-suite bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen. Moreover, the roof has also been endowed with a swimming pool, a terrace and a Sky BAR featuring a cocktail bar and an entertainment area. As you can imagine, the views from the roof are magnificent.

As for the interior, it features a sculptural design, modern and yet simple. The marble floors are exquisite and in combination with the wooden features they help create a relaxed atmosphere. In order to increase that feel, throughout the house tones of grey and aquamarine have been predominately used. The result is a chic, relaxed but also sophisticated family home.{found on contemporist}
